How to Run Windows XP on Android:
Hey peoples what's up? So running windows xp on your Android device is possible. Honestly though, there's really no prupose. It's super slow, and well...just really slow and a great battery killer. But..still fun. This can work on your phone and tablet. So let's begin.
(First, make sure you have a bootable version of windows xp. Ideally, if it's packed into one simple .iso file then it will make your life a whole lot easier.)
Follow Step by Step and download all files:
Anyone who is having trouble finding the .IMG file, you can download and use this one:

Quick links:
Bochs for Android: Download Here and also download the zip folder that's provided in that link. It will be called "SDL.zip"
Bochs for PC: Link Here
Qemu manager for PC: Link Here
Here's the link to the original guide I got this from, you will also need to copy and paste the first user's source into your bochsrc.txt file: Link Here
Instructions to install:
Part 1: Downloading All required files
First, make sure you have a bootable version in windows xp. Ideally, if it's packed into one simple .iso file then it will make your life a whole lot easier.
Download and install Bochs for Android on your phone, and also download the zip folder that's provided in that link. It will be called "SDL.zip"
Extract the zip folder to your SD card.
Now download and install Bochs for your pc
Lastly, download and install qemu manager
2. Part Two: Installing Windows XP
On your computer go to start - program files - Bochs, then open up the Disk Image creation tool. Once side type in for disk drive type in "hd" (hit enter) then "flat" (hit enter) then for size "1500" however you may adjust this to whatever you wish. (hit enter) then for name type in "c.img" then hit enter. It will now create your disk image in the program files folder.
Now time to install windows xp on your blank image file. Open up qemu manager on your pc. Go to the tab that says VM and click "Create New Virtual Machine" Give it a name, click next. For ram space, generally between 512mb to 1gb is good. This is the ram space it will utlise while you install it on your pc, nothing to do with your phone right now. Afterwards click finish.
Now you need to specify the blank img file to use for the HD0. Go to the drives tab, then HD0 and find the "c.img" you created in bochs. It will be located in your prgram files/Bochs folder. You will need to allow it to show all files for it to come up. Once you select it hit okay. Now go to the CDROm option and search for your WIndows XP.iso file. Once you find it, hit okay. Then go to the little green arrow at the top, and click it. Boom it should be running!
If it doesn't boot up, or you get an error in the BIOS that says something like non-bootable image, then that means you're using a non-bootable version of windows XP.
Now what you want to do is run through the installation (it will take nearly an hour depedning on your computer) until WIidows XP is installed, once it's installed you can now exit.
Now connect your phone via disk drive mode and transfer the "c.img" (which is no longer blank now that you've installed XP on it) to the SDL folder that you've extraced earlier on your SD card. Remeber your c.img file is located in program files/ bochs.
After you transferred the c.img file, open up the file that's inside the SDL folder called "bochssrc.txt" You need to change a few setting inside it. (You can delete anything currently inside of it) Simply go to this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465365 and copy and paste the code that's provided by user acocalypso in his first post into the text file.
Finally, at the top of the txt file there's something that says "megs." This si the amount of ram you want your phone to allocate to running windows xp. By default it's set to 256, depending on your phone, you can increase or decrease this amount. Remeber, you still need some memory to run the Android opertating system, too much and after a few minutes Android will kill it because it's taking up too much memory. Too little and it will be even more slow than it already is. After you have made your changes you can save and close the file. Now you can disconnect your phone from the computer.
Now open up Bochs on your phone, and BOOM! Everything should load. Be Patient!! It may take up to 30 minutes just to get to the desktop. Lol, my 1.2 ghz snapdragon phone took about 15 minutes.
So there yopu have it, windows xp on your phone. The cool think about this is that in theory this same process will work for any opertaing system out there. So..have fun!
